Oh.My.Gosh....I've been reading about your grandmother, and loving the stories and pictures. Your pictures look so much like my pictures. My grandparents traveled from the Buffalo Gap area to a ranch near Grandfalls. My grandparents died before I was born, but lots of Armstrongs lived in Grandfalls. We lived in the "city" of Monahans. My dad was the youngest of 10. His oldest sister, Elizabeth, married Bert Wristen and moved to his ranch near Lamesa. My dad passed away in 2005. I am sure he must have known your family. Do you remember that chemical plant, with all the white smoke, near Grandfalls? Ozark-Mahoning? My dad started working there as a chemist in 1934, and was finally superintendent in the 50's.
